After inheriting a beloved but aging farmhouse from his late wife, the homeowner wanted to preserve its history while making it safe and comfortable for his retirement years. Once construction began, severe water damage from an old addition revealed even more challenges beneath the surface. Ink Works Studio worked closely with the homeowner to create a clean, open design that modernized the layout while maintaining the home’s original character. Repairs addressed decades of hidden damage, and thoughtful updates ensure the home’s longevity for future generations. Completed in 2024 by Cornerstone Construction, the renewed farmhouse is bright, welcoming, and ready to be cherished once again—by both its current owner and the family who will inherit it.
