After inheriting an all-brick ranch that felt dark and closed off, the new owner wanted to modernize the home while preserving her family legacy. The interior was compartmentalized, with little connection between rooms, and lacked functional spaces for today’s lifestyle. Ink Works Studio reimagined the layout with open, connected living spaces, a reconfigured Primary Bath, and a fully finished basement that now includes a home office and teen hangout.  The garage was renovated to include an apartment for farm labor. Exterior additions were a welcoming front porch, a spacious courtyard patio, and a cozy terrace off the basement to extend living outdoors. Completed in 2024, the renovation honors the home’s roots while transforming it into a bright, functional, multigenerational retreat that feels both timeless and new.
