After a serious health scare, the C family realized that their two-story home might not support them if mobility became an issue. They wanted to stay in the home they’d cherished for 40 years but needed a way to live entirely on one level. Ink Works Studio designed an accessible addition featuring a full bathroom, a flexible room that can easily convert into a primary bedroom and relocated the laundry from the basement to the main floor. A new screened porch provides a safe, shaded space to enjoy the outdoors—all without stairs. The C family home now offers comfort, safety, and flexibility, ensuring they can remain in place and enjoy the life they’ve built—no matter what the future holds.
